Demopolis City Schools Board of Education meeting

The Demopolis City Schools Board of Education will hold its December meeting on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 5:15 p.m. at the central office meeting room.

DHS Senior Dues

Demopolis High School senior dues of $75 are due by Friday, December 13 and should be turned in to Mrs. Amie Miller. This is not the money that is paid to Jostens for cap/gown/announcements. This is paid to Demopolis High School for graduation and senior activities such as senior breakfast, senior cookout and awards program.

DHS River City Blue Christmas Concert

The Demopolis High School River City Blue Christmas Concert will be held on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. in the DHS Auditorium.

Linden City School Board Meeting

The Linden City Board of Education will hold a meeting in the conference room located on the ground floor of the Central Office on Monday, Dec. 16, at 4:30 p.m.

Marengo School Board meeting

The Marengo County School Board will hold its regular monthly board meeting on Thursday,

Dec. 19. The meeting will begin promptly at 4 p.m. in the boardroom on the second floor of the Marengo County Office Building.

DHS 2nd Nine Weeks Exam Schedule

Exams for the second nine weeks at Demopolis High School will be given on Dec. 18-19. Exams are comprehensive for the second nine weeks and count 10% of the student’s nine weeks average. On Dec. 18, students will take their 2nd period, 4th period, and 6th period exam. On Dec. 19, students will take their 1st period, 3rd period, 5th period and 7th period exam. Dec. 20 is a make-up day. Exams can not be taken early.

Demopolis City Council meeting

The Demopolis City Council meeting will have its regular meeting on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 5:15 p.m. at Rooster Hall. The work session begins at 4:45 p.m.

Merry Grinchmas

The Demopolis Public Library will have its Merry Grinchmas celebration on Friday, Dec. 20. Drop by between 2-4 p.m. to have your photo taken with the Grinch.

Winter Formal-Dec. 20

Demopolis High School Winter Formal will be held Dec. 20 from 7-10 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased on GoFan or directly from Mrs. Kerby.
