The Demopolis volleyball team defeated Montevallo 3-1 last week to clinch the area championship.
Earlier in the tournament, they defeated Selma 3-0 to advance to the area finals.
The volleyball team will compete in the sub-state tournament in Montgomery on Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m.
