Demopolis varsity volleyball dropped three road games at a season-opening tournament Saturday, August 24, at Prattville Christian Academy. The team faced Orange Beach, Prattville Christian and Chilton County High School. 

Team leaders versus Orange Beach were Jodie Card, 14 assists (sets) and 4 digs; Maddie Holley, 3 aces; Haley Stacey, 2 blocks and 2 kills; Lizzie Thornton, 4 digs; and Sarah Waid Wright, 1 block, 2 kills and 5 digs.

Team leaders versus Prattville Christian were Jodie Card, 1 kill and 15 assists (sets); Sarah Helms, 2 solo blocks, 1 assist and 2 kills; and Maddie Holley, 2 aces, 1 assisted block and 1 kill.

Versus Chilton County, leaders were Bradlee Cannon, 2 kills; Jodie Card, 9 assists (sets) and 6 digs; Caroline Hathcock, 2 kills; Sarah Helms, 12 kills and 2 solo blocks; Maddie Holley, 1 kill; Haley Stacey, 5 kills; Lizzie Thornton, 7 digs; Riley Windham, 8 assists (sets) and 6 digs; Sarah Waid Wright, 1 kill. 

The Tigers played at home Tuesday in a tri-match against Hale County and UCS before hitting the road again Thursday to Thomasville.
