Holemon elected to state bankers board

Robertson Banking Company President and CEO William Gary Holemon was recently elected to the Alabama Bankers Association Board of Directors. New board members were appointed at the Association’s annual convention in Nashville, Tennessee in early June. Each board member serves a three-year term.
Mr. Holemon’s banking career spans over 40 years. He has served as the President and CEO of Robertson Banking Company since 2015. Mr. Holemon joined the bank as a commercial lender in 1994. He is also a member of the Board of Directors and a Shareholder. Founded in 1870, the Bank has offices in Marengo County, Tuscaloosa, Birmingham and Homewood, Alabama.
Mr. Holemon graduated from the University of Alabama with a concentration in Finance and Bank Administration. In 1998, he completed the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
His public service includes his appointment as President of the Alabama Multifamily Loan Consortium, a not-for-profit corporation providing affordable housing financing for low-income families, seniors, and disabled individuals throughout Alabama.
“I am honored to join the Board of Directors of the Alabama Bankers Association,” said Mr. Holemon. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to advance the goals of the Association and to support the banking industry as it works to create stronger local economies in Alabama.”
The Alabama Bankers Association represents 117 banks. Alabama banks have combined deposits of more than $185 billion and have 1,923 locations across the state.
