The Demopolis Times is proud to announce that PJ Poellnitz has been named multimedia marketing consultant.
Poellnitz is no stranger to Demopolis. The son of Wendy and Phillip Poellnitz of Linden, Poellnitz is a native of Marengo County and a 2002 graduate of Demopolis Academy. After attending the University of Alabama, he moved to Atlanta and has been a successful salesperson and manager for a large retail company for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as a general manager.
Now, he is excited to be returning home to Demopolis with his son, Warren, and his fiancee, Jayna.
“Demopolis is home for me,” Poellnitz said. “This is where I want to raise my son. For him to grow up right here in my hometown, it just means the world to me. And I am happy to be back close to my parents.”
Publisher Brent Maze said he is excited to add Poellnitz to the Demopolis team.
“He has a wealth of experience in customer service and sales, and he is a hometown guy,” Maze said. “We are excited to have PJ here to be a part of the community.”
As multimedia marketing consultant, Poellnitz will be available to assist you with your marketing needs not only in the products of The Demopolis Times, but he can also help you navigate the digital marketing landscape.
General manager David Lovell said he is looking forward to working with Poellnitz.
“PJ is very enthusiastic and energetic about being here in Demopolis,” Lovell said. “We believe he will be able to truly be an asset in the Demopolis community and Marengo County.”
In his spare time, Poellnitz enjoys sports, being outdoors and spending time with his future wife, son and family. He said he is looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.
“This is a great opportunity for me and my family,” Poellnitz said. “My background in customer service will be beneficial to our clients. It is exciting to reconnect with old friends and those I grew up with, and I’m looking forward to making new friends and new relationships with business owners and people in Demopolis. I am glad to be back home.”
