Bigbee pageant raises $4,900 for shelter

On Sunday April 14, Bigbee Humane Society was presented with a check from the 2024 Miss Bigbee Beauties profits.
The last pageant, five years ago, raised $2,020. This year, the event raised $4,900 for the humane society.
“We raised money through sponsorships, entry fees, People’s Choice votes and pageant admission,” said pageant director Ashleigh Hood. “We also were able to get close to 200 pounds of dog food for the shelter.
The pageant was held on April 6th at Warehouse Performing Arts Center theater. Time was also donated by Whitney Hall, Camerson Thomason, and the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority girls from UWA to make it happen.
Winners of the pageant included Little Miss Queen Charlie Williams, Petite Miss Queen Willa Crocker, Tiny Miss Queen Anna Brame, Baby Miss Queen Blakey Phillips, People’s Choice Hannah Cole, Young Miss Queen Ally Cook, Miss Amazing Queen Olivia Harris and Queen Miss Bigbee Emily Foxhall.
