Demopolis Mayor Woody Collins said the partnership with West AlabamaWorks! brings much-needed job opportunities to Marengo County residents.
“West AlabamaWorks! has been and is continuing to be a key strategic partner with the City of Demopolis’s workforce. Their events have placed many job seekers and employers together over the years and offered many people in our community a chance at a better life,” Collins said.
The organization has partnered with the Alabama Career Center System to host more than 13 local employers including Walmart Demopolis, Foster Farms, DCH Health Systems, Drax, Premier Service Company, Greene County Hospital, West Alabama Mental Health Center, WestRock and others. The event provided job seekers with the opportunity to meet company representatives and apply for open positions.
“Our community hiring events play a pivotal role in helping those in our rural counties,” said Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama CWO and West AlabamaWorks! Executive Director Donny Jones.
The Region 2 West AlabamaWorks!
