A first-of-its-kind event is coming to Linden Baptist Church. On Saturday, Jan. 20, at 6 p.m., the church will host the first annual Winter Gospel Jubilee. The event will be a gathering of some of the very best in gospel music all in one place for one unforgettable evening.

The special guests for the evening will be the legendary Dixie Echoes of Pensacola, Florida. For well over 50 years, this quartet has been the standard for excellence in the field of Gospel music. The Kendricks of Jackson, and The Stephens of Northport, will join the Dixie Echoes.

Senior pastor, Dr. Chris Kynard, said, “The organizers of this event are willing to bring more multi-group events into our area. They will be watching carefully to see how this event is supported, and that will have a large impact on the decision to bring more events into the area. I hope that all fans of gospel music will help spread the word and make a special effort to be here so we can have a great crowd and continue to have these events right here close to home.”

The doors will open for seating at 5 p.m. There will be no admission charge, and a love offering will be received in support of the artists who are appearing.

Dr. Kynard adds, “Please make a commitment to attend but also to help spread the word. This will be a great night for lovers of good old gospel music in our area!”
