Demopolis BOE recognizes HOSA student

Andrea Piedra, who has recently been recognized as a hero for saving the life of a choking 7-year-old during Christmas on the River festivities, was recognized by the Demopolis Board of Education for her actions. Piedra was recognized at the Dec. 11 meeting. Piedra is a Demopolis High School senior, and is a health science student who learned the procedure for saving a choking victim in her classes.
