Sweet Water Bulldogs have no problems against Florala

The Sweet Water Bulldogs had little trouble in the first round of the 1A playoffs Friday as they took home a 48-22 victory over the Florala Wildcats.
Elliot Lucy, Deshanard Blanks and Ethan Carr handled the scoring for the Bulldogs.
Lucy had a 13-yard touchdown run for the game, while Blanks had four touchdowns on runs of 5, 17, 36, and 40-yards, and Carr had two touchdown runs of 6 and 40-yards.
Nate Norris completed one of two passing attempts for 9-yards.
Rushing yards for the Bulldogs saw Blanks with 123 yards, Carr with 86 yards, Lucy with 72-yards, Travious Gaines with 42-yards and Delvontae Lucy with 8-yards. Receiving yards for the Bulldogs had Carr with 9-yards.
Blanks and Parker Townsend both had one interception on the night.
Sweet Water will move on to the second round of the playoffs this Friday as they welcome the Maplesville Red Devils to Nolan Atkins Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Sweet Water and Maplesville are long-time rivals with the Bulldogs winning their last meet up in 2021 41-7.
