The Marengo Panthers lost their chance for a playoff appearance with a 44-0 road loss to the University Charter School Trailblazers in Livingston.

The Panthers had two turnovers in the first half that proved costly as the Trailblazers took advantage of the mistakes. The turnovers gave the Trailblazers a 20-0 lead halfway through the second quarter.

Coming up next, the Panthers face the Flomaton Hurricanes in a non-league battle, on Thursday, Nov. 2. Marengo will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Hurricanes enter the battle with a 5-4 record after their 41-28 league win over Monroe County.
