Sweet Water Bulldogs cap off Homecoming with win over Marengo Panthers

The Sweet Water Bulldogs finished off their Homecoming celebrations with a 48-6 win over the Marengo Panthers.
Deshanard Blanks, Elliot Lucy, Parker Townsend, Evan Dunn, and Efrain Cardenas handled the scoring for the Bulldogs. Blanks scored on runs of 3-yards and 31-yards, and caught a 20-yard pass from Sweet Water quarterback Timothy Kelley. Lucy had a 41-yard run for a score, Townsend caught a 19-yard pass from Nate Norris, Dunn had a 2-yard run, and Cardenas scored on a 30-yard run. Kicker David Etheridge was 4 of 4 on extra point attempts.
Kelley completed one of two passing attempts for 20-yards and one touchdown. Norris completed one of three pass attempts for 19-yards and one touchdown.
Rushing yards for the Bulldogs saw Blanks with 82 yards, Carr with 57 yards, Lucy with 53-yards, and Kris Norwood had 10-yards, ArTavious Gaines had 4-yards and Dareon Mason had 5-yards.
Next up for the Sweet Water Bulldogs is a road game to Mobile to take on St. Luke’s Episcopal in their last regular season game. The Panthers will return home to take on Flomaton.
Kickoff for the Bulldogs and Panthers is 7 p.m.
