Marengo Panthers defeat R.C. Hatch 26-16

The Marengo Panthers won their Oct. 13 game against the R.C. Hatch 26-16. The win was a much needed one as prior to their Oct. 6 open date, the Panthers had dropped three in a row.
On the defensive side of the ball, Michael James had three tackles with one for a loss. Devonte Tucker had eight tackles with one for a loss, and one sack. Jamarcus Battle had one tackle on the night. Omar Autrey had eight tackles, and Jamarcus Bouler had eight tackles with one for a loss and one sack. Centell Bruno had five tackles and one forced fumble, and O’Nealius Norwood had one tackle, one fumble recovery, and one pass defended.
Jeremiah Bouler had five tackles with one for a loss, one sack, and one pass defended. Jordan Moore had two tackles for losses, Kiing Fisher had one tackle, and Jamann McCaskey had one interception and one pass defended.
On offense, Jeremiah Bouler had 102 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 49 receiving yards. James rushed for four yards, but had negative three rushing yards, Toriano Kelly had 82 rushing yards, and two touchdowns, Battle had 21 rushing yards, Norwood had 23 rushing yards, and Fisher completed four of nine passes for 49 yards, had one interception, and 26 rushing yards,
The Panthers will take a short road trip this week to Sweet Water to take on the Bulldogs who won the 1A Region 3 title last Friday with a win over Keith. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
