Kelli Wolfe, the Field Representative for Alabama Sen. Katie Britt, attended the Oct. 5 Demopolis City Council meeting where she briefly introduced herself to the council and others in attendance. Wolfe is a native of Tuscaloosa County and was named the first West Alabama Field Representative for Sen. Katie Britt in January.
Wolfe’s role as the field representative is to act as the senator’s eyes and ears on the ground, while also helping to handle issues from constituents. Wolfe said her range covers counties like Winston, Cullman, Marion, Perry, Sumter, and Marengo.
“I have two roles to play. One role is to represent Sen. Britt at things such as council meetings to let people know that she has a presence here. She expects me to work and tell her what you all want,” said Wolfe. “The other part is helping with case work whenever people have trouble with the VA, disability, social security or passports. I will do what I can to help people with their needs.”
Prior to her position within Britt’s office, Wolfe worked with the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles for 28 years. For 20 of those years she worked as magistrate and grand jury coordinator in the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse.
Wolfe and her husband Kevin Wolfe have been married for 28 years and they have one son, Zach Wolfe. Their son is the executive assistant to Tuscaloosa County Probate Judge Rob Robertson.
