The Sweet Water Bulldogs stepped into region play last Friday against the University Charter School in Livingston. The Bulldogs took an early lead in the first quarter and never looked as they defeated the Trail Blazers 41-6.

Scoring for the Bulldogs was handled by Elliot Lucy who had two touchdowns, Ethan Carr with one touchdown, and Timothy Kelley with two touchdowns. The first quarter saw touchdown runs of four yards and one yard, the second quarter saw runs for 26, 6, and 17 yards, the third quarter saw one run for 46 yards.

The only score for the Trail Blazers was a one yard run in the fourth quarter with a failed two-point conversion.

Rushing yards for the Bulldogs consisted of Elliot Lucy with six runs for 80 yards, Carr had ten runs for 77 yards, Kelley had six runs for 51 yards, Deshanard Blanks with six runs for 23 yards, and Delvontae Lucy with one run for negative yardage.

On the receiving end for the Bulldogs, Parker Townsend had one reception for 19 yards.

The Bulldogs will be back at home again this Friday as they host the R.C. Hatch Bobcats in their second region game of the season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
