Three Demopolis men, two juveniles, charged with capital murder of 19-year-old

On Aug. 27, at approximately 8:26 p.m., officers responded to 908 South Glover Street, Demopolis in reference to reports of suspects shooting into a residence. Upon officer’s arrival, they located a female subject in the house suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately began rendering aid until medical personnel arrived.
The female was later identified to be Khiya King, 19-years-of-age, of Demopolis. She was transported to Whitfield Regional Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Officers and investigators at the scene located several fired shell cases from several different caliber weapons outside the residence along with damage to the residence as a result of the gunfire.
In the early morning hours of Aug. 29, officers and investigators from Demopolis Police Department along with task force agents from the 17th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force served search warrants on two residences located within the City of Demopolis. During the execution of the search warrants, several weapons were located along with other items of evidentiary value.
At this time, the Demopolis Police Department has arrested three adults and two juveniles in relation to this shooting. The adult arrests are as follows: Robert Lee Mosley III, 22, Jaquan T. Brown, 22, and Markell Hood, 22, all of Demopolis and charged with capital murder.
The two juveniles have also been charged with capital murder.
