Five volunteers arrested, charged with theft from fire departments

Five people were arrested by the Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office in connection with thefts adding up to thousands of dollars stolen from three Marengo County volunteer fire departments.

Todd Foster, former fire chief for the Spring Hill Volunteer Fire Department is accused of stealing more than $36,000 from the department. Foster is charged with first-degree theft of property and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Lousin White and Norman Hill are charged with first-degree theft of property. Both men are accused of stealing over $7,000 from Dixon Mills Volunteer Fire Department.

Terry and Beersheba Kiker were arrested on first-degree theft charges and fraudulent use of a credit card. The pair are accused of stealing in excess of $12,000 from South Marengo Volunteer Fire Department.

All five defendants are currently out on bond.
