The National Weather Service is monitoring possible severe weather for Thursday, February 16. The entire state has been included in a risk for severe storms. Storms are expected to develop ahead of a cold front and move west to east across Alabama.
The timing and threat level of the storms has not been worked out as of yet, but tornadoes, damaging straight-line winds, and hail are possible across the state on Thursday.
Severe weather could begin early Thursday morning and last into the evening, but the NWS is still monitoring for an accurate time of the storm’s arrival.
To stay on top of the weather, keep an eye on news forecasts and follow the Marengo County E-911/EMA for consistent updates, road closures, flooding, and storm damage.
