The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off the 29th year of Leadership Marengo in September, and is seeking nominations and sponsorships for its newest class.

The mission of Leadership Marengo is to identify, educate and train potential leaders as well as current leaders in Marengo County. The sessions develop leaders through a network and interchange of ideas and a deeper understanding of economic, political and social conditions to achieve cohesion, solidarity, and success within the county.

The Orientation dinner for the new class will be Tuesday, September 27. Registrations are currently being accepted by Chamber director David Lyons and the deadline to submit names, forms, and fees is Tuesday, September 16. The Demopolis Chamber of Commerce is located in the Landmark Gallery building at 102 East Washington St.
