Marengo County is set to receive $250,000 from the Alabama Department of Transportation to stripe and level part of County Road 33. The project covers 3.1 miles of CR 33 from Hwy. 43 to CR 47.

The road project is one of 10 in Alabama that was selected for funding through the Annual Grant Program under the Rebuild Alabama Act. Marengo County will contribute $25,100 toward the project.

More projects are expected to come later in the year. Under the Rebuild Alabama Act, all projects are required to begin within a year of receiving funds.
