Two Rivers Arts Council is celebrating the 4th of July by hosting Alabama’s National Guard Army 151st Yellowhammer Rock Band. They are a seven-member band who will be playing at 5:00 p.m. on July 4th in front of the Demopolis Civic Center adding to all the festivities going on.
This is a smaller group of the 151st Alabama Army National Guard Band. There are several other groups that are branches of the Alabama Army National Guard. One is a parade band, one is a concert band.
Since this is the national guard, they all have other vocations. Sgt. Furlough grew up in Thomasville, played in the high school band, and is now a music/band teacher in Tuscaloosa.
The TRAC encourages everyone to bring their chairs and sit around within ear-shot.
