Demopolis Lady Tigers Softball wins one, drops one

The Demopolis Lady Tigers softball team used six runs in the fifth inning to defeat the visiting Jackson Lady Aggies.
The Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning, and the Aggies got their only run of the day in the top of the third inning. The Tigers then added another four runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings to take a 6-1 lead. Their sixth run of the game came in the fifth inning. Overall, the Tigers had 12 runs on nine hits.
Weezie Hughes and Alysse Dunklin each had two hits. Madison Ford, Kylie Stokes, Sydney Smith, Lizzie Cannon, and Wessie Jacobs, all had one hit each. Ford, Hughes, Stokes and Dunklin scored two runs each. Cameron, Smith, Ashton Moorer and Cannon also scored once each.
DHS 1, Bibb County 3
The Demopolis Lady Tigers softball team lost its last regular season against the Bibb County Lady Choctaws.
The Choctaws scored a home run at the start of the third inning, then scored two more runs after the Tigers made several costly mistakes.. The Tigers got their single run of the game in the bottom of the third inning.
Ashton Moorer gave up one earned run each for Demopolis. Moorer struck out 12 of the Lady Choctaws. Moorer also walked one batter. Sydney Smith and Weezie Hughes had the two hits for Demopolis, and Hughes scored the only run for the Tigers.
