Bigbee Humane Society is pleased to announce the launching of “The Tolson Project”. Despite being found an emaciated, heart worm positive, partially blind stray Tolson never let anything get him down. Tolson was loved his last days, but he lost his life to heart worm complications prior to getting his happily ever after. While people may judge the previous owners for the neglect that took his life, we realize Tolson never would have. “The Tolson Project” will aim at educating owners and providing the support they need to provide the best life possible for their pets.
There will be three initial main goals of the project: spay/neuter assistance, housing assistance, and education. The Tolson Project will bring the rescue focus from pet rehoming to pet retention, giving pets their happily ever after right with the people they love.
Requests for assistance can be submitted via e-mail to bigbeehumane@gmail.com , online via our Facebook page, or written requests mailed to PO Box 474 Demopolis, AL. Please note donations for The Tolson Project. Bigbee Humane is an all-volunteer organization. All requests will be addressed as timely as possible.
