DHS falls to W.S. Neal in low scoring game

Both teams were strong in the circle on Friday, but W.S. Neal was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over Demopolis Tigers Varsity on Friday. Ashton Moorer started the game for Demopolis Tigers Varsity and recorded 12 outs.
One bright spot for Demopolis Tigers Varsity was a single by Moorer in the second inning.
T. Peters earned the victory on the rubber for W.S. Neal. Peters allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out six and walking zero.
Moorer took the loss for Demopolis Tigers Varsity. The righty went four innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out 11 and walking one.
Moorer and Wessie Lee Jacobs each collected one hit to lead Demopolis Tigers Varsity.
W.S. Neal didn’t commit a single error in the field. M. Dubose had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
