The Demopolis Times and Blackbelt Gazette have entered a partnership with AlabamaNow.com, a new online news and information website focusing on this state.

This new site launched Friday, Oct. 18 and features statewide news, sports and feature stories of interest to the people of Alabama.

AlabamaNow.com is a collaborative effort of approximately 20 community newspapers and magazines that are published across Alabama. The website is owned by Digital Newsmedia Partners LLC, an affiliate of Boone Newspapers, Inc.

The goal of AlabamaNow.com is to provide readers with original and curated articles focused on news, sports and cultural issues of interest and importance to those living in Alabama or with connections there.

The partnership does not change the Demopolis Times and Blackbelt Gazette or its existing online site at www.demopolistimes.com. Both will continue to deliver community news, sports and commentary.

The new partnership will simply broaden offerings to our readers with news items of statewide interest.
