The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District at Black Warrior and Tombigbee Lakes Project will close access to Lock 8 Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, for maintenance operations.
“It’s necessary to close this area due to repairs surrounding the boat ramp,” said Jason Cassity, assistant manager at BWT Demopolis Site Office. “We will still provide water access at Jennings Ferry Campground and Finches Ferry.”
Repairs will begin the morning of Oct. 22 and will continue through Oct. 24. The park will reopen for public use on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 a.m.
