Additional nominees added to Pilot Club’s ‘Mystery in Canebrake’

The Pilot Club has announced an updated list of nominees for its “Mystery in the Canebrake” event, a cocktail party which will work similarly to murder mystery dinner parties. The party will be centered around real “characters” in the community. The nominees and guests will be involved in helping to solve a fictitious Demopolis-centric crime.
The first names released which are in the top 20 as nominees for Mystery in the Canebrake are Justina Allgood, Jennifer Smith Jordan, Catherine Melton Meador, Lee Jordan, Will Coplin, Paul Johnson, Vince Deas, Sarah Chandler Hallmark, Laurie Willingham, Brandon Smith, Lisa Hill Flowers, Robert Blankenship, Tank Bryant, Monica Cox, Leslie Gibbs, Rex Flowers, Taylor Cobb, and Natalie Taylor Quinney. More names will be released soon. To vote for a candidate of your choice to make it to the top, cast your vote now. There are five weeks remaining until the event.
The Pilot Club will accept more votes toward those already nominated and new nominees. To nominate a character, email to mysteryinthecanebrake@aol.com. Nominations are $5. Please mail tax-deductible checks to Pilot Club PO Box 576 Demopolis, Alabama 36732. Nominations and votes may also be made through PayPal by entering the email mysteryinthecanebrake@aol.com.
To purchase a ticket to the “Mystery in the Canebrake” event send $25 via PayPal, a check, or contact a club member to pay cash.
The event will be Saturday, Oct. 12, at Demopolis Country Club. There will be live acoustic music, a full bar, and guests will figure out which of our 25 community members have committed the crime. There will be a prize for the winner.
