Graveside services for Olivia Gaines “Sweetie Pie” Collins, 62, of Livingston will be Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 3 p.m. at Myrtlewood Cemetery with Rev. Barrett Abernathy officiating. Visitation will be held at her long-time home, Lakewood, from 1 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Sweetie Pie passed away Thursday, May 16. She was born Sept. 27, 1956, at Hill Hospital to Sidney Bradford and Frankie Cooper Jones. Mrs. Collins was a dental hygienist for 35 years at Livingston Family Dental. She was a kind and loving person who cared and loved each one of her patients. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, and soon-to-be grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, David Collins of Livingston; daughter, Sidney Freeman and husband, Jake, of Livingston; nephews, Brent Collins and Oliver Parker; nieces, Kathryn Deas, Ashelie Halla, Penni Allison, and Carolyn Thompson; and many friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Bradford and Frankie Cooper Jones; and aunt Lily Ashe “Pie” Richardson.
Pallbearers are Tyler Moore, Vince Deas, Clay Halla, Bobby Jones, Paul William Gordy, and Johnny Beard.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Home for Children at 905 Gertrude Michaels Drive, Talladega, Alabama 35160.
