Members of the Demopolis Rotary Club and other community representatives celebrated the upcoming construction of the Rotary Splash Pad at a Groundbreaking Ceremony on April 17. The splash pad will be located next to the playground at the City Landing park. It will be open in June and will encompass a diameter of about 45 feet, with 30 feet being the wet area. There will be 16 jets circling the outer edge with another eight in the middle and one large fountain in the center. Pictured, from left, are Councilman Charles Jones, Claude Nielson, Katie Windham, Rotary President Hunter Compton, Johnny Wallace, Carey Windham representing the Demopolis Water Works Board, Ashley Coplin and Rick Dunn.
