Harrel William “Red” Green, 87, of Arlington, Alabama died Feb. 25, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Green was born Nov. 7, 1931 in Lamison, Alabama to William Earnest and Georgiana Green. He was a retired power house operator with Gulf States Paper Company and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church.
He is survived by his son, Harrell Gregory Green of Pine Hill, Alabama; three daughters, Teresa Green of Thomasville, Sharon Sheffield (William E.) of Arlington, and Dianne Harkey (Victor) of Mobile; brother, Austin Green of Moores Valley, Alabama; sister, Hazel Ann Anthony of Lamison; three grandchildren, Brandon Sheffield (Nikol), Christopher Sheffield ( Emily), and Zachary Harkey; and three great-grandchildren, Brinson Sheffield, Dean Sheffield, and Lucas Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earnest and Georgiana Green; a grandson, Chance Andrew Harkey; and three brothers, Jack Green, Walter Fudge “W. F.” Green, and Terry Green.
Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Thomasville on Saturday, March 9, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Robert Tutt officiating.
