Julian David Anderson Sr., 68, of Myrtlewood died Jan. 10, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Anderson was born Oct. 22, 1950 in Selma to Julian Slater and Eleanor Anderson. He was a retired paper mill worker and was a member of Aimwell Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Adele Parkel Anderson; four sons, Julian David Anderson Jr. (Danley), Christopher Allen Anderson (Jessica), Donnie Black (Joelle), and Timothy Black; two daughters, Kristina Anderson Franklin (Jerrod) and Jennifer Black Pearson (Ryan); brother, Jack Anderson (Elizabeth); three sisters, Janie Jones (Billy), Nell Dunaway, and Diane Waldrop (Daniel); 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian Slater and Eleanor Anderson; two brothers, Jimmy Anderson and Allen Ray Anderson; and a sister, Alice Faye Slocum.

A family graveside was held at Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, Jan. 12, with Rev. Jack Anderson and Rev. Don White officiating.
