DACC accepting awards nominations

The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce announces plans for the 103rd Annual Chamber Celebration. The event will be on Thursday, March 28, at the Demopolis Civic Center.
The evening will include a beer and wine bar, silent auction, entertainment and recognition of community members for their outstanding contributions in 2018. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased at the chamber office beginning Monday, Feb. 4.
The chamber is seeking nominations for the following: Business of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Community Spirit Award, and Lifetime Achievement Award.
Nominations for these awards may be emailed to director@demopolischamber.com or dropped off to the chamber office at 102 E. Washington St. in downtown Demopolis.
“Be certain to give your nomination unparalleled distinction by offering specific reasons for your person/business of choice. A one to two paragraph description is highly encouraged,” said DACC Executive Director Sidney Freeman.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, Feb. 15.
