Earnest Lloyd Duncan

Earnest Lloyd Duncan, 78, of Demopolis passed away March 15, 2018, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

Lloyd was born Jan. 12, 1940 in Tuscaloosa County to Earnest Y.C. and Sallie Bell Burns Duncan. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force and a  faithful and dedicated employee of Gulf States Paper for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Y.C. and Sallie Bell Burns Duncan, and his wife, Barbara Jean Duncan.

Survivors include his sister, Elsie D. Collins of Demopolis; brother, Raiford G. Duncan (Elouise) of Demopolis; grandchild, Justin Arnold (Nadia) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and great-grandchildren, Merritt, Harper and Harrison Arnold.

Services will be held Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. from Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with Kelly Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Joe Bedsole, Matt Taylor, Rob Fleming, Rickey Horne, Chris Dickinson and Mike Swiney.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Curtis and Staff, Jack’s Coffee Club and Bryan Whitfield Swing Bed Rehab.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a Charity of one’s choice in honor of Lloyd.
