John Henry Robinson went home to be with the Lord Oct. 14, 2017. He was born in May 1934 in Demopolis to Louella Johnson Robinson and Henry “Jack” Robinson.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Rosetta and Sid Robinson; maternal grandparents, Rebecca and Will Johnson; father, Henry (Jack) Robinson Sr. ; mother,  Louella Johnson Robinson; two brothers, Henry Robinson Jr. and Henry Dwight Robinson and a sister, Lucinda Blevins.

John Henry leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 50 years, Bennie Powell Robinson; daughter, Joan Robinson James; son, Jeffrey Powell Robinson, Esq.; grandson, Gabriel James; and 10 siblings, Susan Allen, Beatrice Phillips, Sam Walker, Minnie Hatcher, Luvenia Bailey, Shirley Robinson, Alberta Noble, Arbadella Lucas, Jack Robinson Jr., Larry Robinson, and Donald Robinson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Celebration of life service was held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Rhoden Memorial Home at 1101 Palmetto Ave Akron, Ohio 44306. Family received friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. Minister Michael Burley, eulogist. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 12071 Basswood Ave. N.W. Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
