Linden woman killed in Pensacola

A Linden woman was killed in Pensacola, Florida this weekend after being struck by a vehicle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Tina Cain, 52, of Linden was killed when she was hit by a car Saturday night on US 29/SR 95 or Pensacola Boulevard. Reports indicate that Cain was attempting to cross the road at approximately 10:30 p.m. when she was hit by the vehicle.
According to reports, Cain was walking across the southbound lanes from the median to the right sidewalk, when she was struck by a Chevy C1500. She was pronounced dead at Scared Heart Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Cain fled the scene, but a witness followed him to his home and identified him to police. Charles Bodie, 45, of Pensacola has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the incident, according to reports.
