Charles and Julia Willis celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, April 12.

The Gallion couple were married on April 12, 1947 in Arkansas.

Charles served in the U.S. Army and worked for many years at Gulf States Paper Mill. Julia was a homemaker.

The couple have two children, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

An anniversary party honoring the couple was held April 8, 2017, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Demopolis.
