Jeff William Wright Sr., 84, of Demopolis, went to be with his Lord on Jan. 4, 2017 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Mr. Wright was born May 16, 1932 in Demopolis to the late Austin and Wilma Wright.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Wilma Singleton Wright; his wife, Barbara Bott Wright; son, Robert Wright; sister, Juanita Ridgway; and a brother, A.C. Wright.
He is survived by his loving companion of 25 years, Annette Johnson; daughter, Linda Wright of Deatsville, Alabama; sons, Jeff Wright Jr. (Terri) of Toomsuba, Missisppi and John Wright (Billie Jean) of Forkland; sister, Geraldine Randall (Ed) of Demopolis; brothers, Thomas Wright (Lois) of Demopolis and Willie Wright (Kay) of Ft. Worth, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Demopolis with Rev. Scott Stevens officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 until 10:50 a.m. and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Buster Ward, Ricky Daniels, Gwen Etheridge, Milton Cherry, Milton Murray, and Gene Fowler.
Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School class and the employees of Hospice of West Alabama.
