DHS to hold College/Career Fair Night

Demopolis High School will be host its first annual College/Career Fair Night on Sept. 22, in the Demopolis High School Library from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
A portion of the event includes an “Understanding Financial Aid” session with guest speaker Teresa Ratcliff, a financial aid counselor at the University of West Alabama. Ratliff will answer questions such as: what to expect when applying for financial aid; how to apply for financial aid; and how financial aid is more than just Pell Grants.
Following Ratliff’s presentation, there will be breakout sessions from 11 different colleges and universities. The breakout sessions will provide information on furthering education.
Colleges and universities scheduled to attend the event include: University of Alabama, Marion Military Institute, University of West Alabama, University of South Alabama, University of North Alabama, University of Alabama-Birmingham; Birmingham Southern, Shelton State Community College, University of Mobile, Judson College, and Jacksonville State University.
