U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Krystal C. Johnson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Johnson is the daughter of Annie Weston of Northport and Joe Johnson of Forkland. She is also the sister of Aisha Weston of Montgomery, niece of Rosie King of Detroit, Mich., and Georgia Weston of Forkland, and cousin of Starlisha Seabron of Forkland and Gloria Williams and Derrick Weston of Detroit, Mich.

The airman graduated in 2009 from Demopolis High School.
