The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its 99th Chamber Celebration on Thursday at the Demopolis Civic Center.

The banquet will feature a silent auction and reception beginning at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 and a live auction at 7.

“We will honor individuals and businesses that work to meet the needs of the citizens and inspire others to be actively involved in our community,” Chamber Director Ashley Coplin said.

Tickets for the event are $35 and may be purchased from any Chamber board member or at the Chamber office downtown.

At last year’s Chamber Celebration, Robertson Banking Company was named Business of the Year and Susanna Naisbett was named Citizen of the Year. In addition, Buddy and Martha Griffith earned the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Barbara Blevins received the Community Spirit Award. John Scales was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award.
