U.S. Marshals in Mobile apprehended two suspects Tuesday in connection with a string of weekend shootings in Magnolia.
Maurice Darnell Pritchett, 27, and Gayron Ledell Pritchett, 30, both of Arlington, Ala., were taken into custody by the Marshals, according to Marengo County Sheriff Richard Bates.
Bates said a deputy went to Mobile to pick up the suspects and transport them back to Marengo County.
The two men were apprehended in connection with a shooting Sunday in which a woman’s car was fired upon.
On Friday, Jan. 30, Roderick Pritchett and Skyier Jenkins were both shot and transported to hospitals. On Saturday, Jan. 31, a trailer was shot up in what the sheriff’s office believes to be a connected case. On Sunday, Feb. 1, the woman’s car was fired upon when she was traveling to the sheriff’s office to answer questions about the shootings. No one was injured in the shootings on Saturday or Sunday.
Bates said Tuesday afternoon that investigators are still looking into the Friday and Saturday shootings.
