Howard Curtis McCray, 92, of Greensboro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Colonial Haven.

He was born July 18, 1922, in Hale County to the late Burris Edgar and Bertha Jane McCray. He proudly served his country for more than 30 years in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burris Edgar and Bertha Jane McCray; sister, Nellie Littlefield; and brothers, Julian McCray and Furman McCray.

He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Rosa McCray (Dan) Minehan of Birmingham; son, Michael Curtis McCray of Greensboro; and sister, Wilma Dee Gorman.

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Vernon officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Greensboro Chapel directing.
