University of West Alabama quarterback Kyle Caldwell has another accolade to add to his already sparkling football resume.
The senior from Dadeville has been invited to serve as a counselor at the 2014 Manning Passing Academy.
Caldwell will join a staff of college quarterbacks that includes defending Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, Oregon’s Marcus Mariota, Brett Hundley of UCLA and Bryce Petty of Baylor July 10-13 in Thibodaux, La.
Around 30 current college quarterbacks have been selected to serve as counselors for more than 1,000 high school quarterbacks in a camp run by NFL legends Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.
Caldwell returns for his senior season at UWA in easy striking distance of every Tiger passing and total offense career record. He is the reigning Gulf South Conference offensive player of the year and was the 2011 GSC offensive freshman of the year.
