The Linden Police Department is investigating three burglaries from over the weekend.
Linden Police Chief Scott McClure said the three burglaries were businesses, not residences, and the department believes two of the burglaries could be related.
On Friday, March 21, J&K Whistle Stop was broken into and cash was stolen, but McClure said he doesn’t believe this burglary was related to the others.
On Saturday, March 22, a laundromat on East Coats Avenue and Marlowe Heating and Air were both broken into. Money was stolen from the laundromat, but nothing was taken from Marlowe Heating and Air.
No arrests have been made, but the department is following some leads.
“We have a couple of people we’re looking into, but we don’t have any hard suspects right now,” McClure said. “We’re running down the leads that we do have to try to get this figured out.”
McClure added that he hopes arrests can be made in the next couple of days.
