The Demopolis City Schools Board of Education held a called meeting Thursday night and voted to increase the athletic director and head coaching supplements of Tom Causey.

Causey’s new contract goes into effect July 1, 2014, and he will receive an extra $3,000 for each of the two supplements.

Currently his athletic director supplement is $13,902 and his head coach supplement is $3,955. After the increase, those will be $16,902 and $6,955, respectively.

The increase in supplements will bring Causey’s total salary with the supplements included to $90,647.

Between now and July, Causey will also receive an extra $250 per month for each of the two supplements, adding up to $500 per month, for March through June until his new contract begins in July.

In Causey’s seven seasons as head football coach, he has compiled a record of 59-26, including a state championship in 2009. In each of his seven seasons as coach, the Tigers have qualified for the state playoffs.
