UWA Men’s soccer adds six to 2014 signing class

West Alabama men’s soccer head coach Matthew Thorne has announced the addition of six players to the 2014 signing class.
“We are delighted with the signing of these very talented players,” said UWA head coach Matthew Thorne. “We are bringing back everyone next year so it is great that we are only adding top quality to a very strong squad.”
Goalkeeper Brad Louis, defender Keegan McQueen, midfielder’s Stephen Carroll and Patrick Carroll all come to UWA by way of Oak Mountain High School. All freshmen were members of the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club.
Striker Matthew Pemberton, joins from Solihull Sixth Form College where he was a member of the Hinckley United Football Club.
Jason Boxx, the one junior joining the list, transfers from Cayuga Community College. Boxx was a defender and midfielder for the Egham Town Football Club.
Midfielder and early signee Josh Gurvitz will also join the Tigers. The Daphne High School graduate will take to the pitch with UWA in the spring.
