The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for business and citizen of the year.
The awards will be presented at the 98th annual Chamber Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 27. The event will be held at 6 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center.
“The awards focus on activity and excellence in the community over the past year,” said Michael Kennedy, DACC executive director. “Nominees are individuals and businesses that work to meet the needs of the citizens and inspire others to be actively involved in our community.”
All nomination forms must be received by Feb. 11. This year, Chamber members will select award recipients from the “Top 5” nominees.
Nomination forms can be picked up at the Chamber office, Regions Bank, Robertson Banking Company’s Westside branch, Trustmark’s downtown branch, the Demopolis Public Library and The Demopolis Times.
For more information, contact the Chamber at (334) 289-0270.
In 2013, Vowell’s Fresh Market was honored as Business of the Year, while Chuck Smith with RockTenn was named Citizen of the Year.
