Audrey Laverne Griffin Squires Riley, 82, of Demopolis died Thursday, Jan. 16 at her residence.

She was born Aug. 27, 1931, in Perry County to the late Samuel C. and Willie Gladys Boler Griffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel C. and Willie Gladys Boler Griffin; brothers, W.D. Griffin, Sammy Gene Griffin and Roland V. Griffin Sr; and her first spouse, Jesse A. Squires.

She is survived by her husband, B.E. Riley; daughters, Barbara (Tom) Sessions of Sweet Water, Mary Nell (Dennis) Smith of Tuscaloosa, Audrey (Keith) Yeager of Demopolis, and Michelle (Tim) Wood of Osark; sons, Jerry (Faye) Squires of Sweet Water, the Rev Bruce (Tammy) Squires of Helena, and Shayne (Pam) Riley of Caddo Mills, Texas; sister, Nell (Billy) Peavy of Selma; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. at Rangeline Baptist Church with the Rev. Randall Smith, the Rev. Don Smith and the Rev. Bruce Squires officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. before the service begins. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be the deacons of Rangeline Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be the women of Rangeline Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Center of West Alabama.
