Luker accepts position as head coach at 5A Mississippi school

Former Sweet Water head football coach Stacy Luker has been hired to be head coach by Neshoba Central High School in Philadelphia, Miss.
According to the Neshoba Democrat, the hire was approved by the Neshoba County School Board on Monday night.
“I’m excited about this opportunity,” Luker said in an interview with the Neshoba Democrat. “I felt like it was time for a change and this is what I was looking for. I am coming in to build a program that the school and the community will be proud of.”
During Luker’s 12 seasons as head coach at Sweet Water, he compiled a record of 131-32 with five state championships and eight region championships.
Neshoba Central is a Class 5A school in the Mississippi High School Activities Association. They are coming off of a 1-10 season in 2013.
