DMS Robotics sponsor thanks supporters

Published 2:12 pm Thursday, December 19, 2013

I am the robotics sponsor at Demopolis Middle School. This was our first year to have a robotics program.

It was centered on the BEST (Boosting Engineering Science and Technology) robotics competition which is a very intense and involved competition with not only a robotics portion, but a marketing presentation, booth display and spirit and sportsmanship division as well.

We were able to do really well for our first year, especially since we were only a middle school team competing against high school teams. The success of the team has truly been a community effort and would not have been possible without the support of our mentors and everyone in the community that has offered their time and talents. I would like to recognize the people and sponsors that made this happen.
